Holiday Homework task 2

At the start of the video there is a guy talking but it is not showing focus on hi face but it is showing a group of 3 people in the background showing they are probably quite important and have something to do with this guy. when we see him we see that he looks a bit sad and that he may have just broken up with somebody by just listening to the tone of his voice, he then finishes the call and looks quite sad still and disappointed. Once he is finished this it shows one of the girls feeling bad for him and it shows that they are probably close to him possibly being related in some way or another. After this a guy says something and sounds like he is saying something about its better to get it done kind of thing because the girl should be fine kind of thing, this and the fact that he has his arms crossed shows he is probably quite a hard type of guy who can do the not so easy things quite easily whereas the others seem more caring and understanding. After this it cuts to the 3 people and they start to talk about the girl with the older lady referring to the girl as someone who just jumps from guy to guy and that the other guy could do a lot better. Also the fact that you can hear music and see beer taps in the background shows they are in a public place and sets the scene in a way. Also this setting could be pointing to the fact that when you break up with someone you usually go to a bar and drink to numb the pain a little which is probably why he chose this location to break up with her. After this the more staunch guy tells the others that he hopes they have a nice quite day, and all of a sudden there is a noisy pizza delivery guy who comes thru the door almost announcing to everyone about the delivery. this almost hints to us that the guy was probably not gonna get a quite day like he wanted, also the camera cuts from the 3 to the pizza guy to the younger guy and the way the younger guy looked at the pizza delivery guy suggests he is not impressed and that he most probably is quite annoyed at him fro just barging in and yelling while something quite serious has just happened that he probably had no idea about. Also the pizza delivery guy yells out the surname "the carters which are the people who were previously talking but by the way they looked when he said their name they had no idea about it, also the fact he says it in a really up beat way and that they are hawaiian pizza, which is commonly known as a fun pizza, shows a contrast to the events that have just happened. The pizza delivery guy after the more staunch, serious guy tells him they didn't order them starts to act childish about it and this makes the carters quite annoyed. Also we find out they are the owners of the "Vic public house" which tells us why they are there in the first place. After this the owner gets real annoyed at the pizza delivery guy because he wont leave, this is when he nearly chucks the pizza at the delivery guy. As this is all going on their is quite up beat playing in the background again contrasting the situation. Another contrast in this scene is that, this pub looks like quite a serious place for older more serious people by the colors shown and also by the way the owner and others present himself, this again is contrasted by the pizza delivery guy who is younger and wearing a bright pizza uniform and making a statement by his loud and annoying manner compared to the other more serious and respectful people in the pub. As the pizza delivery guy leaves the pub he comes back in realizing his car has been stolen, the video then cuts a scene outside where you see the lady calling someone, which we expect is the cops, and you realize that although this kid is making trouble for these guys they will still help most likely to get them out of his hair. In this same scene we see the pizza delivery guy making orders and you can see irony used here as the other guy is the owner of the pub but the pizza delivery boy thinks he is the boss and this shows irony in the way of how he has no importance yet he is trying to boss the owner around. Something else in this scene is when the owner is finally tired of the pizza delivery guy he tells him to shut up and then it cuts to the wife calmly calling the cops which shows a contrast in that, over behind her the husband and pizza delivery boy are fighting and having an argument whereas the wife is keeping calm. Something that stands out as well is how the building is red and that the pizza delivery guy keeps saying its a crime seen and also says "where you going blood, this is a crime seen" this shows almost a connection because usually at a crime scene there is probably blood and and blood is red. After this the police finally show up and the lady walks over, but as she does it zooms on a kid walking into the pub who tried to sneak in while everyone was distracted, this is where it starts to get suspicious as the young boy is probably the one who stole it, as he leaves the house, he give the bike over to a man and most likely the keys he stole as well just for some cash, when it is revealed he did do it we see a man there with a bandage on his head showing us he is probably involved with some bad/ shady stuff and is probably gonna frame the kid in some way, they talk for a bit and then the man says "good luck son, you'll need it" this hints to us that our suspicions were right and that he will probably frame the kid or he will get caught. Also it makes us think something is going to happen that we don't know yet.

In this short video there are a lot of contrasts and other techniques used which create a good story line and add some interesting elements to the story and make us want to watch more.
