Hi Hunter
ReplyDeleteOverall Score: 16/20
I think the human trafficking element was effective and relevant to the context of a very current issue. Great idea!
I like the setting and some of the shots you used like the tracking shots.
The brief was to really ramp up the tension and suspense in-keeping with the thriller genre. Although there are certainly elements of thriller conventions here, there is a missed opportunity to really maximise the effectiveness of your sound. It practically cuts out and is very hard to hear after the group leave the elevator and needed attention being mixed more carefully. The moment the 'goods' are revealed to be a boy in the back of the car, would have been a perfect impact moment for music change. Remembering also that building tension and suspense can be achieved with quick cuts and editing techniques. It feels like the pace of shots you chose work well for the beginning but then don't get more tense/ intense as the storyline builds up which is what you want.
Establishing shot of carpark cutting in-between the footage at the start is effective.
The logo looks great and I also think the title links well to the overall theme of your film opening.
Some extra time on this and it would have gone from good to great! Definitely an improvement on your last effort though!
Well done :)
